About Us

Discoo offers something a bit different...a fun alternative to the boring sameness of High Street fashion chains.

We offer the latest styles from the UK, US and Europe, collected together to provide the solution to that party, everyday or special occasion.

Many of Discoo's products are unique or exclusive to us. We only order in small quantities and we update the collection weekly.  If you see something you like, bag it now, or lose it forever!

Discoo sources high quality, innovative, quirky and interesting brands.  Some are well known, others we have found just for you.

We are a UK based boutique retailer and always offer a personal service.

 

Our History

Discoo was founded in 2003...and our origins are a little unusual.

The company was originally a dissertation for a University MSc project (City University E-Publishing).

Initially trading out of concession stores in Topshop and online through our website, we became famous for our Disney and Amplified ranges - selling to customers in over 100 countries.

The company was always envisaged as an online independent store - selling new and innovative ranges that you could not find on the high street.

While Discoo is much imitated, once someone discovers us they tend to come back again and again.

We like to think that's because we're just really nice people selling gorgeous stuff....but it might be more down to our accurate stock control and legendary fast delivery!

 

Discoo Dates:

June 2003 - Discoo is submitted as a dissertation proposal to the City EPub faculty.

August 2003 - Discoo launches its first concession in Topshop Oxford Circus - we sold Emily Strange on SB2.

October 2003 - Website launches....it cost £200. Total investment raised is £3,000 (by way of an Egg Credit Card). The entire venture is obviously insane.

March 2004 - Founder Ed Saper receives his degree at London's Guildhall. He misses a Distinction by 1 mark.

August 2004 - We have a big party....lots of people come, Duncan from Blue is turned away at the door.

2005 - We are featured in everything from Time Out to the Financial Times. The company relocates to Kings Cross and launches its London 3 Hour Delivery Service.

2006 - 20,000 customers in over 100 countries....including Iraq and Afganistan (bomber jackets and Rolling Stone Tees are particularly popular).

2007 - We announce plans to seek 1st stage investment funding to grow the business.
